What are E-Statements?
E-Statements, or electronic statements, are statements that you view online and they replace your paper statements. Estatements include the same information your paper statement does. You will receive an email notification when your E-Statement is ready to view, with your "security phrase" in the subject line. Sign on to Bangor Online to view, download, save, or print your statement at your convenience.

What are the system requirements for Bangor Savings Bank E-Statements?
Adobe Acrobat Reader® version 6.0 or higher is required to open and view your statement(s)/notice(s)*. We also recommend that you use the latest browser version available that supports 128 bit SSL Encryption.

How much do E-Statements cost?
E-Statements are free! However, if you decide to change back to paper statements there will be a one time fee of $5.00

How do I begin receiving Bangor Savings Bank E-Statements?

  1. Log on to your current Bangor Online Account
  2. Select the tab labeled "E-STATEMENTS." This will take you to the enrollment page.
  3. Follow the steps outlined below:
    STEP 1) select accounts you wish to receive electronically at this step. Save your setting when complete.
    STEP 2) Please review the email address that the bank currently has on file for you. If your email address has changed you may update in the space provided.
    STEP 3) Please enter a security phrase to be displayed on all valid emails sent from this site.
    STEP 4) Read the terms and conditions. After you have read the terms and conditions, click on the box to show that you agree to the listed terms. This step must be completed.

How long will it take to set up my Bangor Savings Bank E-Statement service?
The entire process is less than 5 minutes. You will receive your next statement via email as an E-Statement. Once the process of enrollment is complete and you have agreed to the Terms and Conditions of Bangor Savings Bank Electronic Statement(s) Delivery you will receive a test email at the address you provided. The subject line of the test email will contain the security phrase you selected to assure that the email is valid and from Bangor Savings Bank.

What accounts are eligible for Bangor Savings Bank E-Statements?
Bangor Savings Bank offers E-Statements for all Personal and Business deposit statement accounts and for all overdraft lines of credit.

How do I view my Bangor Savings Bank E-Statement?
Each month, you will receive an email from the Bangor Savings Bank email address CustomerCare@bangor.com, displaying your security phrase in the subject line, notifying you that your statement is available for viewing. At this time simply sign onto Bangor Online and select the E-Statements tab.

Can I save the PDF attachment of my statement on my computer or a disk?
Yes, in fact, we recommend that you save your monthly statements on either your computer or a disk so you can easily retrieve them in the future. To save a copy of your electronic statement, open your PDF document then choose "File" then "Save As" from your Acrobat menu and specify where you want the document saved on your computer or disk. Be sure to save your E-Statement using the .pdf extension and select a name that will help you remember which statement the file contains (example: BSBCheckingApril2004.pdf). Or, if you prefer, you can print a hardcopy of the PDF document for your records.

Can I download my E-Statement information into my Personal Finance Management (PFM) software such as Quicken® or Microsoft Money®?
E-Statements can not be saved into PFM software, however you can download a range of account transactions by visiting the Bangor Online tab, selecting an account, and then choosing Download from the menu. Available formats are Microsoft Money, Intuit Quicken, Intuit Quickbooks, Personal Finance, Excel, or a generic text format.

Do I have to be a Bangor Online customer to receive Bangor Savings Bank E-Statements?
Yes, you do need to have a Bangor Online account in order to receive Bangor Savings Bank E-Statements.

What if I forget the password to access Bangor Online to open my Bangor Savings Bank E-Statement?
If you have forgotten your Bangor Online Password, call our Customer Care Center at 1.877.Bangor1 (226.4671) during normal business hours. You will be asked to answer some verification questions first for security reasons, and then your password can be reset.

Will my E-Statement have the same information as the paper statement I previously received?
Yes, your Bangor Savings Bank E-Statement will contain all the same information as the paper statement you were previously mailed including your check images and any important notices from Bangor Savings Bank.

Is my statement information secure with Bangor Savings Bank E-Statements?
Bangor Savings Bank takes every possible means to ensure that our products and services meet the highest level of security commercially available. To provide the highest level of security, we do not send the statements through email. Instead you control when you wish to access viewing your E-Statements via Bangor Online, an extremely secure site with multi-factor authentication.

Can I combine my checking and my savings accounts into one monthly statement?
Many Bangor Savings Bank accounts are eligible to combine for statement purposes. Please contact our Customer Care Center at 1.877.Bangor1 (226.4671) during normal business hours or visit one of our branches for more information on combining your accounts.

Can I get all my E-Statements in one email?
If your accounts are combined on one statement, you will receive only one email notification, and the statement will look the same on Bangor Online as they had on your printed statement. If your account statements are not not combined, you will receive a separate email notification for each account. If you would like to see if your accounts can be combined please contact our Customer Care Center at 1.877.Bangor1 (226.4671) during normal business hours.

What if I can't access my E-Statement?

What if I stop receiving my E-Statements?
Bangor Savings Bank monitors the E-Statement delivery system for any possible delivery issues with email so that your E-Statement service is not interrupted. If you do not receive your email within the normal time frame, please check to be sure your email mailbox is not full and that your email address has not changed. You should also make sure that the email address Bangor Savings Bank uses to send your notification (CustomerCare@bangor.com) is not blocked on your email as SPAM. Then notify Bangor Savings Customer Care Center at 1.877.Bangor1 (226.4671) during normal business hours.

What happens if my email is currently set-up to block emails with attachments?

You will be able to receive the email from Bangor Savings Bank. The email is only notification that you may now log onto Bangor Online to access your statement. We do not send any attachment with your email notification for security reasons.

What if my email address changes?
If your email address changes, sign onto Bangor Online, click the tab Options, and update your email information in the appropriate spaces provided.

Can I get a copy of a statement that was previously sent to me?
Yes, we can send records of electronic statements and paper statements for the last 60 days. Bangor Savings Bank's standard research fee of $3.00 per document copy will apply. Any records prior to the last 60 days for electronic statements or paper statements may incur an additional $20.00 hourly research fee since retrieval of those records requires extra research. Bangor Savings Bank will attempt to deliver your older statements electronically. If this is not possible, a paper copy will be mailed via the U.S. Mail to your mailing address on record.

Will I continue to receive paper statements once my Bangor Savings Bank E-Statement service is set up?
No, once you have completed the enrollment process for Bangor Savings Bank E-Statements, paper statements are no longer produced for your account(s). However, based on when you sign up for E-Statements, you may receive a paper statement and an electronic statement the first month.

What if I change my mind and want to go back to paper statements?
You can cancel your Bangor Savings Bank E-Statement delivery at any time for a $5.00 fee. Contact your local branch, or our Customer Care Center at 1.877.Bangor1 (226.4671) during normal business hours to do so.
