iCM Browser Requirements
iCM uses 128-bit RC4 encryption. This provides the high level of security that is needed for web-based transactions.
If your current browser is incompatible with 128-bit encryption, you must upgrade your browser to access iCM. You can download a Netscape or Microsoft browser upgrade by clicking on the appropriate link. To shorten download time, users of Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later who do not have 128-bit compatibility, need only download a "High Encryption Pack" from the Microsoft website.
Determining Your Browser Compatibility
Most browser versions let you easily check their level of encryption.
If you are using:
-
Microsoft Internet Explorer - click the <Help> menu and select <About Internet Explorer>. The version and encryption level of your browser will appear.
-
Netscape Navigator/Communicator - click the <Help> menu and select <About Navigator/Communicator>. Look for the paragraph that reads "This version supports...". If it says it supports "U.S. security", then the browser uses 128-bit encrytion.
-
America Online (AOL) - AOL uses whatever version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) is installed on your computer. To check the level of encryption, launch MSIE and follow the above procedure for Microsoft Internet Explorer.
