Securing your personal and account information is something we take very seriously at Bangor Savings Bank. Your security really matters to us. This upgrade provides all the features and functionality that you're used to, but in a new and updated design that enhances the security of your account access, while being easier and more friendly for you to use.
The first time you sign-in to your account through Portfolio Online, you will be prompted to enroll in the Secure Sign On process. There are only a few simple steps for you to complete, and the program will walk you through:
- Picture/Pass Phrase
Before you enter any personal or account information, it's important for you to know that the webpage you are on is a valid one. To help assure you of this, Portfolio Online lets you select one image from the many contained in its image library. Additionally, you will select a phrase that will accompany the image displayed on the login screen that let's you know you're in the right place.
- Security Questions
Bangor Savings Bank wants to make sure that only authorized users can access your Portfolio Online account. To help us do so, you'll be asked to select some questions and create corresponding answers. We may ask you one or more of these questions during the Log On process. Providing the correct answers lets us know that it's really you.
- Register Your Computer
If you like, you'll be able to register your computer as an authorized location from which your account can be accessed. This will help you login faster. If you're ever using another computer that isn't registered, don't worry. We'll use the security questions you created to verify that you are, in fact, an authorized user.
- Confirm Information
As a last step, you'll need to confirm your User Name and provide an active email address.
