FDIC insurance does protect you against the loss of your deposits in the event of a bank failure, up to the amount of the insurance limit. The insurance limit most commonly known is $100,000 per individual depositor. However, with some types of accounts (such as IRA funds) or when the accounts are set up in various ways, even higher FDIC coverage may apply. We would be happy to work with you to determine the options for obtaining maximum FDIC insurance coverage using information from and online tools provided by the FDIC.
