Fraud & Security:

Recent Fraud Activity

Bangor Savings Bank is committed to maintaining the security of your personal information and account data. We investigate any fraudulent emails that ask for account information or personal information. These types of attempts to trick you into divulging your account/personal information can change on a daily basis and can claim to be from any number of sources, including Bangor Savings Bank.

Recent Phishing Email Samples:

Though some fraudulent emails are easy to spot, some can be well-written and provide a sense of comfort that the email is safe. However, links in emails can lead you to fraudulent Web sites that ask you for personal information; and these sites can look just like the actual Bangor Savings Bank site.

Do not provide any information on a site you entered from an email link. Bangor Savings Bank, its subsidiaries and affiliates, will never send you an email requesting your personal or account information (such as social security numbers, account numbers or PINs).   Email is not a secure form of communication and should never be used to convey sensitive information.
