August 14, 2018
COLEBROOK, New Hampshire – Bangor Savings Bank President and CEO Bob Montgomery-Rice recently presented a $5,000 check to the Got Lunch program during the bank’s Colebrook opening celebration barbecue on July 26.
The Got Lunch program is a federally subsidized school year lunch program that provides nutritional lunches to school-age children in Colebrook, Stewartstown and Pittsburg who qualify for assistance. Got Lunch extends the nutritional support through the summer by providing a weekly bag of free lunch foods to families with children who request assistance.
Got Lunch volunteers meet at the Colebrook Elementary School cafeteria every Monday morning at 8:30 during the summer vacation to pack and distribute lunches to children.
Bangor Savings Bank also donated 500 recyclable bags for Got Lunch to use during their summer program, along with 250 jars of peanut butter and jelly that were collected during the bank’s May Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive.
Montgomery-Rice presented the $5,000 check to Got Lunch program representatives Marsha Biron, Mike Biron and Jim Tibbetts.
