Do I need to activate my card before using?
Yes, before you can use the card to transact you will need to activate it by visiting prepaid.bangor.com and providing the required information.
Is there a fee to purchase a card?
There is a card purchase fee of $3.50; see above for a complete list of fees.
During activation, do I enter the card number or the number under the barcode?
Enter the 10-digit number under the barcode on the back of your card.
How do I use the card to make a purchase?
Swipe the Gift Card like any other card in your wallet. Choose ‘Credit’ if prompted at the point of sale to use the card up to its available balance.
Why do I need to provide my ZIP code when I activate my card?
Entering your ZIP code enables your gift card for online use.
Where can I use my BSB Gift Card?
Your Bangor Savings Bank Gift Card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, including online. Automated fuel pumps and cash access (ATMs, POS Cash Back, Cash Advances) are restricted.

What happens if my card is lost or stolen?
Please notify us by calling 1.877.Bangor1 as soon as possible. If you are calling outside of normal business hours, please leave a message and we will return your call the next business day.
Is there an inactivity fee?
No, we do not charge for inactivity on the card. See above for a complete list of fees.
Can I use my card internationally?
Your card is valid in the U.S. only. It cannot be used at merchants outside of the United States, including internet and mail/telephone order merchants outside of the United States.
How long do refunds take to appear in my card balance?
Every refund is different and is dependent on the Merchant's refund process. Normally, refunds will appear in the card balance within 10-15 days after the refund has been completed by the merchant. As soon as we receive the funds from the merchant they are posted to your account immediately.
