Bangor, ME: Bangor Savings Bank is proud to announce the opening of a new
full-service branch in Derry, New Hampshire, strengthening its commitment to relationship-based banking and community engagement across the state. More than a geographic expansion, the Derry branch reflects the Bank’s ongoing dedication to serving the people, businesses, and local organizations of Southern New Hampshire.
Located at 46 Crystal Avenue, the branch officially opens
June 16 and is staffed by knowledgeable, uniquely skilled, and community-focused banking professionals. The convenient location provides a range of personal and business financial offerings, delivered by a dedicated team with the expertise that can support comprehensive banking needs. Additionally, the location is equipped with an ATM, a coin counter, and
debit cards printed on-site. As part of the Bank’s commitment to conscious business practices, the building features all-electric heat, including heat pumps, and rooftop solar panels. With accessible hours, customers are welcome Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
“Our commitment to the community goes beyond financial support. It’s rooted in relationships, showing up, and staying involved,” said
Bob Montgomery-Rice, President and CEO, Bangor Savings Bank. “As we expand our presence, we look forward to delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships with our customers and the community, while actively contributing to the growth and resilience of the New Hampshire economy.”
The Bank has steadily grown its presence in the state over the past seven years, opening its
first New Hampshire branch in Portsmouth in 2018. With this newest addition, it now operates nine locations across New Hampshire, bringing the total to 70 branches across Maine and New Hampshire. Milestones include the launch of
Bangor Wealth Management of New Hampshire in 2021 and the opening of a
second Manchester branch in 2023. As one of New Hampshire’s largest and most vibrant communities, Derry represents a natural next step in the Bank broadening access to personalized financial services and strengthening regional ties.
Bangor Savings Bank is committed to local initiatives that impact Derry and Rockingham County. The Bank has donated to local nonprofits, including the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Derry, which offers youth programs focused on academics, leadership, and character development, and Derry Homegrown Farm & Artisan Market, which provides a sustainable marketplace for local farmers, bakers, and craftspeople. Additional community visits and engagement efforts are planned for the months ahead.
The Bank believes in giving back and being an active participant in the communities it serves. That’s why, earlier this year, it hosted a Maker’s Market at Birch Wood Vineyards in Derry. The market showcased local artisans and small businesses as part of a series of events leading up to a formal grand opening celebration planned for early fall.
“This branch embodies our commitment to local growth and partnership,” said
Amber Gaouette, Assistant Vice President and Derry Branch Manager at Bangor Savings Bank. “We’re excited to build lasting relationships with our neighbors in the Derry community. I look forward to connecting with customers, supporting local organizations, and helping people and businesses reach their goals.”
Gaouette leads the team with 25 years of banking experience and a strong commitment to service through local volunteering, including with the New Hampshire YMCA.
Bangor Savings Bank is proud to expand its reach in New Hampshire and looks forward to building strong, lasting connections in Derry. From financial services to community partnerships, the Bank remains committed to fulfilling its
You Matter More promise in southern New Hampshire and beyond.
